I've only ever visited for the odd wedding reception and party, but I've always found the place really nice, with a good vibe. The building is beautiful and decor quite prestigous. The trick is to nip into the adjoined pub, which serves a wider selection of drinks and tends be less busy than the main bars.

Enjoyed our night at the Northern Soul offering.We hadn't been for some months due to health issues and a family bereavement.
Well worth the admission fee.

Very old fashioned hotel, fun boiling kettle from the floor. It's good for a night sleep 😴.

Had a excellent evening at Moor ville on Thursday. Over 25 of our bowler's ended up going. The food was wonderful but be warned go with a empty belly.
The chips are out of this world, no frozen all fresh.

Went to a funeral wake. Excellent, friendly and quick service from bar staff even though it was busy. Buffet provided was very good.

Very dated!! Freezing cold pool when they advertised as heated , changing rooms cold and dated. Dated machines in the gym it needs serious modernising

The most unwelcoming place EVER!! I went in today with my BF who is a member & been asking me to go with him for months, to checkout the facilities with view to swapping from borough park to moorville. Well firstly there was no one on reception, my bf signed himself in and said he’ll speak to the manager about my guest pass. I went in the gym and within 5 minutes a woman (the absent receptionist) was stood in front of us, demanding us to leave and saying loudly we had to go. It was so embarrassing, you do not speak to people this way, she was so vile and rude. My partner told her he was a member and she was having none of it. They went to the reception and he told her she’d owe him an apology once she had looked at the screen. She looked at the screen and shouted SORRY, like a nutter. When I left I told her I was very disappointed I didn’t get a trail as I had come with view to joining and my experience with her had put me off. She then shouted she didn’t want people like me. Seriously get some new staff!! RUDE!!

Probably the most disorganised and rude staff I've ever seen. If you are looking for somewhere to stay or join the gym, don't bother booking here, they are a disgrace.

Loved watching the live music 🎶 and they sell Peroni zero so I could still enjoy myself and drive home xxx
